Two Decades of Excellence in Bleaching Earth

From a single facility in Bhuj-Kachchh to one of Gujarat's most trusted activated bleaching earth manufacturers — our story is built on consistent quality and industry expertise.

Our Story

From Gujarat's Clay Belt to India's Refineries

Umiya Resources Private Limited was founded in 2002 with a clear vision: to manufacture activated bleaching earth that meets the exacting quality standards of India's rapidly growing edible oil refining industry.

We chose Bhuj-Kachchh in Gujarat for good reason. The region sits above one of India's richest deposits of calcium montmorillonite clay — the primary raw material for bleaching earth. Combined with access to Mundra and Kandla ports, the location provides both raw material advantage and logistics efficiency.

Over two decades, we've grown from a single processing unit to a 3-lakh sq.ft. integrated facility incorporating raw material processing, acid activation, rotary kiln drying, milling, packaging, and quality control — all under one roof.

2002
Founded in Bhuj-Kachchh, Gujarat. First production batch of activated bleaching earth shipped.
2008
Facility expansion to 1 lakh sq.ft. In-house quality control laboratory established.
2015
Expanded to 3 lakh sq.ft. Rotary kiln drying capacity doubled. Pan-India distribution network established.
2020+
Bleach Master brand launched. R&D investments in surface area and oil retention optimisation continue.
Mission & Vision

What Drives Everything We Do

Our Mission

Deliver bleaching earth that makes refiners more profitable

To manufacture and supply activated bleaching earth of consistent, verifiable quality — helping India's edible oil processors reduce refining loss, improve product quality, and operate more efficiently.

Our Vision

Become the benchmark for quality in Indian bleaching earth

To be recognised as the most technically reliable activated bleaching earth manufacturer in India — known for precision manufacturing, responsive service, and the technical depth to solve our customers' refining challenges.

Our Facility

Integrated Manufacturing at Scale

Our Bhuj-Kachchh facility integrates every step of the manufacturing process on a single 3-lakh sq.ft. campus:

  • Raw montmorillonite clay processing & screening
  • Acid activation reactors (sulphuric acid treatment)
  • Rotary kiln drying to controlled moisture levels
  • Milling to target particle size distribution
  • In-house QC lab — bleachability, surface area, pH, oil retention testing
  • Bagging and dispatch — 25kg bags, bulk bags available

Location Advantage

Gujarat's Strategic Manufacturing Hub

Bhuj-Kachchh sits at the intersection of India's most productive mining belt and its most active export corridor. For a bleaching earth manufacturer, this combination is unmatched.

Gujarat handles over 40% of India's total port cargo — with Mundra Port ranking as the country's #1 port by volume. Our proximity means shorter transit, lower freight costs, and reliable delivery timelines for customers across India and for export.

The Kachchh district also supplies the highest-grade calcium montmorillonite clay in India — our primary raw material — ensuring consistent source quality that's difficult to replicate elsewhere.
